West Jackson Elementary is a PreK- 5th grade elementary school located in Hoschton, Georgia. We are a GaDOE Certified STEAM school, where students engage in inquiry-based STEAM learning every day. We believe in supporting the whole child through social-emotional learning paired with integrated, authentic learning experiences that encourage students to go after big dreams and pursue their passions.
At WJES, we are developing young problem solvers equipped to notice problems, ask questions, and work together to connect and impact the world around us. Our students are engaged in project-based learning experiences where they have the opportunity to ask questions, build empathy, investigate and research, imagine and create, and test and reflect. Students engage in deep learning of grade level standards as they work together to apply their learning in projects that have real world context and to share their learning within our school community. Each grade level is engaged in a yearlong project that impacts our school. We are passionate about engaging students in high-quality learning experiences and inspiring our students to be lifelong learners and positive members of a community.
